Design comes back to craftsmanship, a match built on different cultural sensibilities, passion for handwork, innovative projects realised through modern, eco-friendly techniques.
From felt craftsmanship to that of puppets, from glasswork to the traditional Arita Japanese porcelain styles, we are witnessing the creation of products of high technical and aesthetic quality, often born of the intersection between cultures of remote origin, interpreted in a contemporary fashion. The event Hands On Design (http://www.handsondesign.it), organised by the Shiina+Nardi Design studio, has featured four groups of international designers and craftsmen experimenting together on modern ideas through traditional techniques.
