Barbara Arciuolo

Architect

Born in Cuneo in 1983. After a degree in Architecture from Turin Politecnico, she worked in collaboration with some architecture and design firms. In 2013 she started her own business as a freelancer, developing designs in Italy and France in different fields: furniture, interiors, architecture and installations.

Kanz is a design firm located in Venice and founded by the architect couple Mauro Cazzaro and Antonella Maione. It is based on the idea that the natural relationship between architecture, interiors and product is the starting point for creating the inherent artifice in design. Today his firm offers strategic design, integrated into various fields: interiors, concept design, product design, architecture and brand development.

Kazuyo Komoda

Designer

Born in Tokyo, where she graduated in design from the Musashino University of Fine Arts, she successfully embarked on her industrial design and interior design career. She has been living and working in Milan since 1989, where she opened her own firm. She is currently engaged in interior design, product design and works as a specialised consultant in colours, materials and surfaces.

Kuniko Maeda

Designer

Born in Tokyo and later graduated in Science of Design at Musashino Art University in Tokyo followed by the Design Academy Eindhoven, the Netherlands, In 2006 she opened the Minale-Maeda studio with Mario Minale, thus launching a successful partnership. Despite their different origins, the couple share a common design vision and their broad and open background is the driving force behind their ideas and creations, which are highly received in the public domain.

Born in 1980 in Verona. Graduated in Industrial Design at the Milan Politecnico.
In 2007 he opened his own studio in Verona where he worked in partnership with other professionals in architecture, graphics and communication.
He has received several awards and his work has appeared in leading magazines such as the New York Times, Herald Tribune, Abitare, Interni, Ottagono, Residence, Icon, Elle Decor and Rolling Stone.

Raffaella Mangiarotti lives and works in Milan. Having graduated with honours in Architecture from Milan Politecnico, where she is a researcher, she founded the deepdesign studio with Matteo Bazzicalupo. She has won prestigious international awards and her designs have been published in many magazines and books: The international Design Yearbook 2005, L’Observatoire International de Première Vision, The International Design Encyclopedia of MoMA and Design Now! (Taschen).

Kaori Shiina studied Art and Literature at the Seijo University and then attended the Designer Gaguin Institute in Tokyo, while Riccardo Nardi graduated in Industrial Design from ISIA. After extensive experience, in 2012 they established their firm SHIINA+NARDI DESIGN, working in partnership with many companies all over the world and taking part in various major international events.

She studied Art at the Tama Art University in Tokyo and then obtained a Master degree in Design Direction at the Domus Academy in Milan. She now works between Tokyo and Milan and collaborates with many prestigious companies as a consultant in the field of interior design, marketing, and industrial design development. Her creations are permanently on display at Milan’s Triennale and have won a host of international prizes.

Both born in 1982, they met during a degree course in product design, with Sparvieri going on to graduate in Product Design and Del Ciotto in Interior Design at Milan Politecnico. The duo has worked in Milan and London and is now based in Tolentino. They collaborate with several Italian and foreign companies and their creations have won many prestigious awards.

Tomoko Azumi

Born in Hiroshima in 1966, Tomoko Azumi graduated in architecture at Kyoto City University of Arts, specialising in Environmental Design. In 2005, she opened her own studio in London where she still lives and works today. Tomoko has worked as a teacher at the Royal College of Art, UK, has been several times member of the jury in various internationally famous Design events. Now she works in partnership with a number of international companies and her designs have earned acclaim and won awards all over the world.

Eliana Lorena

Eliana Lorena

Designer

Product designer and artist, Eliana Lorena lives and works in Milan. Her design research projects had been focusing on materials and colors, expressive features of different types of ceramic, fabric, and glass. She is currently teaching as Adjunct Professor at NABA of Milan, for the Technology of Materials course and for the Decorations course.
A significant issue of her seminars design projects is the relationship between form and material, in a way that the “form  follows the material”. The studio focuses on interior  and product design influenced by a mixture of Asian and European cultures . She creates a mixture of crafty and modern design pieces.
